I write to inform you that I have now successfully completed Venom's Challenge - on my 6th try.

By the time I had finished, I had killed 12 pirates, and fired 39 missiles - 20 firebursts, 15 Swarms, and 4 Devastators - Look... I know, I know, not the best use of resources, but it worked. (I also used 4 Holograms)

I was flying a swallow (purchased for the princely sum of $43027 at Bargain Moths) equipped with 5 Devastators, 20 Firebursts, 20 Swarms, 50 Flares, An afterburner, Plasma Kannon, Laser, 20 Holograms, Fusion Cell, Engine 3, and all the top software minus autopilot.

Of course I also had a largest pod, & a salvage Drone (we managed to pickup 5 bodyparts along the way).

I didn't keep any notes after the first time - but you can read my notes on my first time Here - I nearly made it that time. I followed a similar route on all attempts. My ship that time was similar, but had no afterburner, holograms, or Devastators and instead had a pulse laser, 10 underkill and 5 trojans.

I sold all the goods in Gamma afterwards - cigars, alcohol and narcotics to the Flyer's Retreat, and after a brief visit to see if Dr Jobe wanted any lasers, the lasers and bodyparts to Gamma Trading Post.

This challenge (the first I have attempted) proved quite difficult - but could certainly be made more difficult for all those who don't find it taxing enough

Incidentally if you're ever looking for somewhere to hide in Highrise, I can truly recommend the u-shaped building opposite the lazarus HQ (also u-shaped) near the top of Highrise.

I decided to do this challenge first, as I could play on from my current game. I didn't use the God Hanger at any point.

I flew first to Gamma and loaded 2 lasers onboard, I proceeded to Riverside to pick up 30 alcohol and 30 narcotics, then Reservoir for 30 cigars before back to Riverside to begin.

I flew through Gamma, Midway and into the mines, down the port tunnel - to find the tunnel blocked, and took the opportunity to remove one of my entourage. Back in the mines, I flew through Haven, Alpha, Downtown, Highrise, & Reservoir, before back to Riverside.

With 6 or so people targetting me, I flew into Downtown on day 39 at 00:05, and sat 385ft off the floor against a building near Tech Parts (I must have been lucky that time - I have since identifyed it as Monastry - and my following attempts never had such an easy ride there again). At 15:00 I began writing the notes which would be transcripted here - and found it helped the remaining time to pass.

By day 40 at 02:00 I had arrived in Highrise, where I hovered at 311ft by the side of a building. This time was more eventful.

Firstly I was discovered, and with my shields down I ran for another place to hover. I found one at 431ft against the corner of a building near the Belfrey.

As I sit here writing this, I have been forced to remove another 2 flyers who found me - however, plasma-kannoning down their shields and finishing them with a fireburst, didn't cause me too much trouble. It's now 17:35, and though some are still firing, at the the moment they haven't figured out that they can't shoot through a building.
