LIFE ON TITAN
Below are links to the original F2.01 version of Hardwar that was distributed by Interplay in the United States. There are two CD ISOs. I've also inluded a link to the UIM06 upgrade patch. It's necessary for most modern video cards. It also solves some other problems.
ISOs are mirror images of the Hardwar CDs available for download. There are two, one ISO for each CD. These must be downloaded and then burned onto two CDs to work. Then you've got your own full set of Hardwar CDs.
The ISO images are zipped so the server can handle them. You will need a program like 7zip to unzip them. You will also need a CD burner and a high speed internet connection to use this option. The two zipped ISO files are over 300MB each. Please report any problems with the download to me at CaptainZedo@mail.com .
INSTRUCTIONS ON BURNING THE ISOS:
Download the zipped ISOs from the above links. Go ahead and download the UIM06 patch, too, if you don't already have it.
Get a decompression program to unzip the files, something free like 7zip will do just fine. You will also need a program that will burn ISOs to CDs. Your current burning software probably already has this feature. If not, try the free version of Active ISO Burner .
Now unzip the .zip files and you'll get Hardwar1.iso and Hardwar2.iso. Use your ISO burner to make the original F2.1 game CDs.
Hardwar is a rare find in commercial retailers today. It's an old game (1998). If you find it, however, it's always sold at a discount price. I found my first copy at Babbages for $5.00! You'll fare better trying to find it listed on auction sites like E-Bay or Amazon.com.
