DRONES
There are two kinds of Salvage Drones on Titan: regular and Super. The regular drone will pick up anything except the "Unknown Origin" from alien craft. The Super Drone will pick this up, too.
Don't sweat a Super Drone. When you need one, you'll get one for free. You can then get Unknown Origin and sell it at Trading Posts for a huge profit. The catch is that the Trading Posts may not have enough money to afford your Unknown Origin at the time. Wait it out and keep trying.
A regular drone costs $4,500-$5000 to buy. Add a few hundred to have it installed. The Super Drone runs $10,500. You generally can't find a Super Drone for sell, so just stick with the regular drone until the time comes in the plot that you get one for free. There's not too much Unknown Origin available early in the game anyway.

If you have a small pod full of low value cargo, like scrap metal or ore, don't hesitate to jettison your cargo to make room for more valuable cargo.
To jettison (dump) your cargo use the "j" key. If you jettison your cargo in a tunnel, other pilots will *not* pick it up. You can come back and get it later.
