Shears Yard solves a problem that previous (pre-U3.0) Hardwar versions suffered. You could run out of certain Pods and Engines. This was particularly true of Largest Pod and Smallest Pod. Now, supplying Shears Yard will cause them to produce these items if they run out.

Shears Yard is in the Downtown Crater near Light Well #3, behind Bargain Moths. It used to be "Vacant 006". You can quickly target it in the new Terminal Interface by typing in target shears yard.

Shears Yard buys Sheet Metal, Plastics, CompComp, Ore, and MachParts. They also buy Food in small amounts. They produce Engines and Pods for sale.

blue fox has discovered that Ore is needed for making Engines. Shear's Yard and the Moth Dealers buy it.
