The Moon Moth is a very good cash value and is the smallest Moth that can hold a Laser Turret.
The Moon Moth is the only Moth that can carry a passenger. You can get one and fly other human pilots around in the online game. You cannot, however, start your own taxi company in the offline game. This rumor was started by an ill-informed game review before HardWar was released.

The Moon Moth is not really slow, but it lags behind the other Moths except for the Silver-Y. Carrying cargo seems to slow this Moth down far more noticeably than with other Moths.
If I could fit an Engine #3 to a Moon Moth, I think it might just be my favorite. You can start out as a "Godfather" in the patched ("U" versions) of the game and get a Moon Moth fitted with an Engine #3, but you can't fit other Moon Moths with one. There are also some Engine #3 fitted Moon Moths that appear in the online game.

Get an Engine #2 as quickly as possible. The Moon Moth fitted with an Engine #1 is the slowest Moth on Titan.
Minimize the size of your pod. Don't outfit your Moon Moth like the one in the picture above. Use a small or smallest pod to keep your speed up.
Don't forget to fit a Laser Turret. This is a real life-saver on a slower Moth because it can attack enemies chasing you.
